D'illard Coat Of Arms
What I have below is just a brief outline of this family. Most of this Dillard info is thanks to Shawna Hall at her website. I have a bit more at my Worldconnect ID "irisheyes" or there are other much more detailed histories of the Dillard clan at Worldconnect. I am one of many direct descendants of James Dillard and Lucy Wise. There seems to be some dispute over who James Dillard's father was. According to other Dillard researchers, he was either George Dillard or John D'illard. But what is known is that our James Dillard was born 1685 in James City, Virginia and died August 2, 1757 in Middlesex County, Virginia. He married Lucy Wise about 1704. She was born about 1685. They had eleven children.
